Dr. Paulsen was Chairman of Ferring’s Board of Directors from 1988 to June 2021, and was named Chairman Emeritus in July 2021. He joined the company in 1976 and became Managing Director of Ferring AB, Sweden, in 1983. He studied chemistry at the Christian-Albrecht University in Kiel, Germany, and business administration at the University of Lund, Sweden, and holds a Ph.D. from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in Paris, France.
