This webinar was co-sponsored by ASPIRE and Ferring. Prof Smitz and Dr Platteau co-presented an overview of the Influence of hCG during ovarian stimulation. Prof Smitz focused on the similarity between LH and HCG from molecular structure, common receptor, overlapping physiology role etc., elaborated specific difference in bioactivity during follicle phase. Dr Platteau reviewed the growing body of evidence which demonstrate gonadotrophins containing hCG leads to incremental benefits in key pregnancy outcomes, which translates to a higher live birth rate in fresh transfers for varied ovarian responders. Data also suggested that there are also benefits of hCG containing gonadotrophins in frozen cycles.
